How to Measure Your Shirt
- NECK Lay the collar flat and measure straight from the button to the end of the buttonhole.
- CHEST Buttons fastened and measure 1 cm under the armhole. Measure from side to side and double the measurement across the chest.
- WAIST Buttons fastened and measure from side to side and double the measurement across the waist. The waist is located at the slimmest part of the shirt.
- SHIRT LENGTH Measure from centre back down to the end of the hem.
- SLEEVE Measure from centre back to the shoulder seam, then measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff and combine these measurements.
Shirts Care
Cagliary shirts are made to last, but by enhancing your laundry practices you will extend their lifespan even further and make them longlasting.
Sort by Colour
To maintain colour over time, wash white shirts with white, darker shirt with darker garments and use the correct detergent for each. Wash indigo-dyed shirts, separately the first couple of times to avoid colour transfer. Lowering the RPM (revolution per min) is more energy efficient, and less stressful on the fabric.
Wash
Unbutton the shirt, turn it inside-out, pop the collar and use the right amount of detergent. Avoid fabric softener if you can.
Dry
Stretch cuff, collar, and front placket. Do not wring the shirt. Let it dry on a drying rack or hanger. Do not tumble-dry it is a strain on both your shirts and the environment.
